A Note From Our Founder

I've spent more mornings standing on farmland than sitting in offices. That was never a lifestyle choice. It's just where everything I know about food was actually learned.

And what I learned first was this: people trust whatever is on the shelf without ever asking what's going into their bodies. Preservatives. Pesticides. Artificial everything. Slowly, we started treating lifestyle diseases as just another part of getting older, as if that were normal.

I've spent the last decade not accepting it and working on trustworthy health products. SThorn is the most recent thing I've built because of it.

Those years taught me one thing above everything else. The quality of what ends up in a bottle isn't decided at the bottling line. It's decided long before that, in the soil, in the harvest, in whether anyone bothered to do it properly. You learn that by working alongside farmers and closely with organic farming communities, not by reading a supplier's paperwork.

So we didn't take shortcuts with a single ingredient in SThorn.

SThorn’s Sea Buckthorn grows wild in Ladakh, and is processed at our own facility there. Amla and Lemon are both grown on our own farms in Rajasthan. The raw sugar comes from Uttarakhand, where we work directly with organic farmers, from growing the sugarcane through to processing it, start to finish, together. And Himalayan pink salt is hand-mined from the Sindh’s Himalayas in its purest form.

Not one of them arrives through a supplier and a certificate. If the past decade has taught me anything, it's that you cannot outsource the part that matters most and still call it yours.

One morning in Ladakh, standing among wild Sea Buckthorn at 6 AM, a collector I'd worked alongside for years pointed at those thorn-covered shrubs and said, "Nature has already done the hard work. Our job is simply to respect it."

That sentence became SThorn's entire brief. Don't improve the fruit. Don't dress it up. Just get it into a can without ruining it. Six ingredients, nothing added that couldn't justify itself, because authenticity can't be manufactured. It can only be protected.

What I'm actually trying to do

This was never a labelling problem. It's a trust problem.

Walk into any store and count how many products shout "natural," "pure," "healthy." Then ask how many you could genuinely verify. Almost none. Not because people don't care, but because nobody ever made it easy for them to check.

My mission is straightforward: to make clean, honest nutrition something an ordinary Indian household can reach, and actually verify. Not a premium promise. A default expectation.

SThorn is my attempt at proving that's possible in a category where nobody expects it. So we published the full ingredient list. We sent the drink to an independent lab and published what came back, including the parts we weren't asked about. And we left out everything we couldn't stand behind: no caffeine, no taurine, no preservatives, nothing artificial.

That isn't better marketing. It's just fewer places to hide.

I'm not going to tell you SThorn will change your life. I'll tell you exactly what's in it, where it was grown, and who tested it. Then you decide.

That's the only kind of company I know how to build, and the only kind I think this country still needs more of.

If you believe real wellness begins with real food, I'd genuinely like to hear from you. I'm on LinkedIn, and I would like to hear your thoughts.
